How many treatments should I get and how often?

Microneedling can be done monthly. It is recommended to get 4-6 treatments for the best, long lasting results. In between your microneedling sessions, nano-needling can be done weekly to exfoliate, tone, and brighten the skin.

Does microneedling hurt?

No, it does not hurt for most people. There can be a bit of brief discomfort in certain areas. I do offer numbing cream as an option to those that are extra sensitive.

Does microneedling make you bleed?

The technique that I use for microneedling does not typically cause bleeding. I use a 0.5 mm needle depth or less for most areas which is deep enough to create the necessary channels for collagen production, without causing bleeding. I only use a deeper needle depth for age spots and with this technique, there is a small amount of blood.

What makes microneedling different from other therapies for facial rejuvenation?

Unlike microdermabrasion and peels, microneedling keeps the top layer intact, protecting the deeper layers during rejuvenation.

Contraindications to Microneedling

Nanoneedling is the preferred method of treatment for those with very thin, sensitive skin. It is also the recommended treatment between your monthly microneedling sessions.

If you are concerned about fine lines & wrinkles, swelling, or sagging skin, then nano-needling is for you. If your skin care concerns include deep wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, stretch marks or deep acne scars, then micro-needling would be the treatment for that.
