  • What does acupuncture feel like?

It depends on the person and the area of treatment. Most people feel little to nothing. In some cases, people feel a very slight pinch when a needle is initially inserted but once the needles are in place the experience is overall quite relaxing. If you’re new to acupuncture and a little hesitant, I understand and have techniques I can implement to help you feel comfortable and at ease throughout your treatment.

How long do the needles stay in?

    Typically 20-30 minutes.

How many sessions before I feel results?

It all depends on the individual and the concern you’re seeking help with, but you should start to feel relief or see results after 4 to 6 treatments. Typically the more chronic the condition, the more treatments that will be necessary.

How often should I get acupuncture?

I recommend at least one to two times per week initially, then scale back to once or twice a month thereafter for maintenance.

Can we address more than one area of concern in a single treatment?

Yes, we can treat multiple concerns in one treatment but let’s talk about your concerns so we can come up with customized treatment plan for you that your body will respond to. Sometimes it’s better to start small and work our way up from there.

  • How long is an appointment?

Your first session will be 1.5 hrs and will include a detailed intake, evaluation and medical history

    What should I wear?

    Comfortable, loose clothing is preferable

    What is your cancelation policy?

24 hours of notice is respectfully requested to cancel or reschedule your appointment. If less than 24 hours notice is given, your account will be charged in full.
